Saint Louis 2016 Rates – US DOLLARS

Payments in Euros are also accepted at the exchange rate prevailing at the time of booking. Please Contact Us for current Euro prices.

Prices include transfers to and from the barge by Mercedes, all food and drinks including wines and branded spirits, excursions, use of bicycles and on board wi-fi. For full details please our listings below.

  • Each charter week runs from Saturday afternoon to the following Friday. You will be picked up (for example at Toulouse airport or hotel – see Getting to Saint Louis) mid-afternoon on the Saturday, and then depart from the Saint Louis after breakfast on Friday.
  • Single Cabin Week
A Single Cabin Week means that we take your booking for one or two cabins, and it is up to us to try and fill the remaining cabins. However this may not always be available. Please ask.
  • Every booking that we accept is a guaranteed departure.
We would not consider cancelling a cruise simply because only one cabin is booked.

What to Bring

Bear in mind that July and August can be quite hot, and that it can rain at any time of the year (guest umbrellas carried on board!) The atmosphere on board is generally quite informal, and guests prefer to dress in a “casual and comfortable” style. Walking shoes are suggested for some excursions, for walking the towpath, and for cycling. We have good first aid provisions on board – no need to bring a first aid kit. Do not forget sunglasses, sun lotion, a wide-brimmed hat and a camera.

First Names

Normally, guests’ first names are used on board the Saint Louis.
If you would prefer that the Captain and crew address you more formally, please let us know before you arrive.

Smoking

In the interests of comfort and safety, smoking is not allowed below decks, or in the vehicle.

Gratuities

Thanks to the very high level of dedication and service displayed by all four of our crew, our guests normally wish to give the crew a gratuity at the end of their cruise, which is always greatly appreciated. The level of 5% to 10% of cruise cost is suggested, which reflects the very high crew to guest ratio. Our policy is that gratuities should be handed to the Captain in one envelope at the end of the cruise.
